CUSI is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Development Intern for Jonesboro, AR, and Fayetteville, AR, to support our B2B software sales efforts targeting utilities and local governments. As a Sales Development Intern, you will play a key role in generating leads, prospecting potential clients, and assisting the sales team in driving revenue growth for our Utility Billing Products.
This paid internship opportunity is thoughtfully curated for college students eager to refine their sales and marketing skills. Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Support and Assist Regional Sales Directors in Managing and Nurturing Client Relationships, including Follow-up Communication and Customer Inquiries
- Developing and Executing Marketing Strategies to Meet Sales Targets and Drive Pipeline Growth
- Conduct Market Research to Identify Potential Leads and Target Industries
- Collaborate with Sales Directors to Develop Effective Approaches and Messaging
- Lead Generation and Client Prospecting Using LinkedIn Outreach
- Business-to-Business Cold Calling and Emailing
- Utilize Written and Verbal Business Communication Skills
- Update and Manage the CRM Database with Detailed and Accurate Notes about All Sales Activities
- Collaborate with Other Departments to Facilitate Proactive Client Check-Ins and Product Testing
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends, Market Development, and Competitor Activities to Maintain Competitive Edge in the Market
- Participate in Sales Training Sessions and Workshops to Enhance Sales Skills, Product Knowledge, and Professional Development
- Contribute to a Positive and Collaborative Team Environment by Actively Participating in Team Meetings and Sharing Insights and Best Practices
Qualifications:
- Currently Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program, Preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or a Related Field
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the Ability to Engage with Prospects and Build Rapport
- Highly Motivated and Goal Oriented, with a Proactive Approach to Achieving Sales Targets and Objectives
- Excellent Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail, with the Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks and Priorities Effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics CRM Software Preferred.
- Previous Experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service Roles is a Plus
- Passion for Technology is Desirable
